Marat Khakimzhanov, is a consultant geologist with SRK Consulting (Kazakhstan) Ltd. Whilst working at SRK Marat has been involved in various projects including the design and completion of quality assurance and quality control (“QAQC”) programmes, geotechnical investigations and geological exploration and prospecting. In addition he has been involved in various due diligence mandates. Marat’s particular interests are the integration of 3D software within early stage exploration and prospecting. This expertise coupled with his strong background in exploration geophysics and structural geology has been demonstrated in optimising various early stage exploration programmes through improved geological understanding. Commodity experience includes precious metals, industrial minerals, uranium, rare earth metals and base metals in Central Asia and Africa. He is an experienced user of various software products, including Leapfrog, Micromine, Datamine, Surpac, ArcGIS, MapInfo and AutoCAD and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Geologists of researchers (MAIG).
